ABOUT THE EVENT

The National Launch of the Hub Azul Network and Portugal Blue Digital Hub brings together public authorities, innovation centres, research institutions, startups, investors, companies and regional ecosystems to mark a new stage in Portugal’s blue economy strategy.

Taking place on 8 and 9 June 2026 at the Cruise Terminal of the Port of Leixões, the event will present the national Hub Azul network, its regional innovation centres, the Hub Azul School, key innovation challenges, emerging startups and research projects, as well as the digital platforms and capacity-building tools developed under the Portugal Blue Digital Hub.

From bluetech innovation and territorial impact to ocean data, digital platforms, e-learning, blue biobanks, investment and large-scale projects, this two-day event will position Portugal as a connected, science-based and digitally enabled blue economy ecosystem.
